Check it out, fellow campers!
This is the New Multi Function Rolling Cooler Picnic Camping Outdoor w/ Table & 2 Chairs in Red. It folds up to be the size of a cooler!
For our family, we wouldn’t bring this camping, but more than likely to any outdoor event, such as beach days or picnics. This gear could even be useful at BBQs. We do not currently own this, but it looks like it’s a sturdy build, great for the outdoors!
This is a pretty cool tent and reminds me of one we had when Tyler was little. It was a two-tent system. One was a large 4 person tent with a matching 1-2 person tent. Both were dome tents, and there was a tunnel you could zip on between the two. It made changing a child’s clothes SO much more convenient.
Sadly, it was stolen from us and we could never find a replacement for it. However, this tent has the same general idea, and the tunnels can be rolled up when not in use.
Once again, this is not something I own, but this product was my inspiration for this post from last year. When I worked in retail, I did see this gear in my store, and it folds up to be pretty compact.
While campsites have a picnic table, I find it never seems to supply enough space for things… despite paring down what we bring! Definitely a space saver at the campsite!
I want one of these… really bad. This would be perfect for a little peace and quiet when the beach is too packed. Float this baby out in the middle of the lake and lounge all day long.
I’m sure some fun games could be played using this giant air mattress as well!
This is what I aspire to have one day! I’ve seen a lot of people using these at the beach, both locally and when we camp. I think they are just soooo cool!
I would imagine this would be a great core exercise because of the twisting required in your mid-section. It would also be a great upper arm workout, like any type of paddling, and great for balance overall.
This is what we have, and we LOVE it. We used to get regular air mattresses, you know, the ones that were half this height? Ugh… aches and pains in our backs every day. It truly felt like we were sleeping on the ground.
Not so with this. The height really does make a difference! It is the same height as a bed, and it’s much more comfortable. I mean, nothing can truly replace your bed, but this comes close! Definitely a worthwhile investment.
Consider this to be your most important investment when it comes to camp gear.
Even with a Dodge Journey, we never go camping without our SportRack. When we used my mother-in-law’s van, we took it then too. It just makes sense to leave as much room inside your vehicle as possible.
We always pack our pillows and sleeping bags in it, along with our air mattresses. Basically, all of our lightweight items. It has NEVER leaked. You can come head to head with a rain storm, and the items inside will remain dry.
Words of wisdom… it locks, so make sure you have a safe place for the keys when you’re not using it!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the CCM model we have, but if it’s at all possible, bring your bikes with you! With all the walking you’ll be doing via the trails and trips to and from the beach, going for a family bike ride it a great way to break up your physical activity.
This model is very similar to ours. It’s a hitch-mounted bike rack that holds up to four bikes. It’s gear with a sturdy construction, from the metal it’s made with, to the heavy-duty rubber straps used to secure the bicycles.
Definitely pack the back of your vehicle before attaching this, though 😉
These are just some of the awesome things to bring on your camping adventure! What do you insist on bringing for your family?
